LR is making a hybrid and I like it!

Came across this last night on engadget and thought i would share

I like it and the idea of it. Really shows where land rover is going. I would like to see this bleed over to other models. What do you guys think?

Interesting. Could use longer electric range. But that electricity comes from somewhere, usually coal, gas, or oil fired plants so not sure just how environmental that is. Interesting idea. I would rather see a propane of LG/natural gas motor and tank system and see how that performs. Just my $0.02.

What do you guys think?

I think that a LR/RR with even more electrical scares me a little bit.

But seriously, I would much rather they tweaked their diesel to make more power and sold that in the US. I'm not a huge fan of hybrid hype and batteries that cannot be recycled.
