LR2 Key fob question

We have an 08 LR2 that has sat for the last few months. Meaning it has not been run or driven since early March.

I went to start it up yesterday and the key fob button would not unlock the doors. neither one of them would work. I popped out the little key in the fob and unlocked the door manually. When I opened the door the alarm went off.

I put the fob in the ignition hole and the alarm went off and the vehicle started right up.

I ran it for a few minutes and then shut it off. I was then able to lock the doors with the fob.

Are they charged by the vehicle possible?

Not sure but I have trouble with mine cause it does not open my doors. I have to use the key.

I called the deal and spoke to the service person. He did say they are charged while in the hole.

I idled the truck with the key in it (obviously) and now it's working again.
