I know a few people have done this. Im seriously considering it. Im hoping that I can just modify the fender panels by cutting them a little bit to fit the taller bumper. Any body know if this is possible? If not I probably wont do the conversion as new panels and paint would basically double the cost. If it is Ill just be patient and take my time sourcing used parts on ebay looking for good deals if all i need is the lights, bumper, grill and fogs. I could probably keep the cost under a grand if i find some good deals.

Another question is the light silver LR3 the same as the light silver LR4? that would save me some paint costs as well.

Are the fender flairs basically the same without texture? or will those need to be replaced as well?

Thanks!

hello dthomp87, ahmmm as far as I know, the wheel arches are the same without the texture so you can just paint them or leave them that way, there are actually some lr4s that use the old ones (point in case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LPZiq3HeV8)
if you actually go off-road I recommend the stock lr3's

as for the wing panels, you should also cut the length as the lr4 headlamps are a bit bigger, there's a template and a long post on this matter over at the English forum disco3 co uk, I've got no idea of the colours so I'll leave that to anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject.

If you do it, don't forget to post pictures of your conversion mate

The air suspension is mostly brilliant. You had an unusually bad experience.

I have had my EAS issues....but they've been resolvable. I am not saying that the EAS is without its woes or that it doesn't require careful maintenance and monitoring....but the function of the system is brilliant and affords a ton of capability to the LR3.

You really have to see it in action off-road to truly appreciate it.
