Is this possible without having to replace the part?
As others have read, the SRS red light comes on the dash when the pretensioner wire frays. So I've read. It seems like a design flaw but it happened after I bought the car. I think with my wife and I changing the seating position, I noticed it would come on intermittently and then just stayed on. Thought it was the clock spring, but replaced it and no change. I was getting a fault code for it, but, after finding water in the passenger side floor and a yellow with green wire that was corroded and separated at a connection, teh fault code went away, but the red SRS light remains. looking at the part, and reading on it. it sounds like it could be a frayed wire or bad connection. Is this a repairable part?
Thanks
