"M" and "S" lite on transmision will not shift

2002 Discovery II 60Kmiles
Big troubles.
Started with the battery loosing charge overnight. Now the transmission will not shift, Drive "D" flashes, check engine lite on, "M" and "S" green lits on.
Still will turn on and drive but it will not shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd to drive.
Been checking the manual and I hope that the Battery is bad.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad battery... if the battery is not fully charged it will cause very odd electrical issues... have the battery checked and replaced if needed.
