How many miles are most people getting on a set of brake pads? I have heard that some people are getting as much as 50,000 miles on a set…

I also have a bumping noise coming thru the steering wheel when I turn. It sounds like maybe a strut or something of that nature has broken or come loose. Of course when I take it to the dealer it becomes quiet

Any opinions of what this might be…

I changed my brakes at 26,000 miles. My fronts had 2mm left and rears had 5mm left. And, I changed the rotors too.

I have no idea about the bumping noise.

I was in the 40k mile mark did it this summer, I just hit 50k last week.
I would say 50k is about as much as you could get. All depends on how you drive.

I got about 50K out of the rears (rotors were okay) and I'm still rollin' on the fronts at 61k.
