The Coopers Zeons were excellent, very quiet on the road and super cushy. The traction was amazing and I didn't even air down.

LR3 at beach

I put a set of 18" Cooper Zeons on my '07 LR3 a couple of weeks ago. I love them. Great ride, very little hiway noise on a 700 mile round trip. We spent a week on the Outer Banks where I drove on the beach every day. I sought out every soft pile of sand I could find and had absolutely no problems driving through them. Tried the same thing last year with my OEM "Good-for-a-Years" and had a hard time even in the already packed ruts. The Coopers are way better. There are no Pismo style dunes available there to climb, but it feels like they would be no problem.

Aired down to 25 lbs all around and used low range and sand setting, with the suspension raised to off-road height. I use command shift, starting out in second and keeping rpms in the 2,500 range.

I do get a minor rub at full lock when in the normal height setting. As soon as I find where it is, I'll try to make a little more room for the tire.
