Hey everyone. I will hopefully be buying my first SUV tomorrow from a dealership. A 2005 Land Rover SE V8 with 86K miles. Does anyone have any key things to look out for? Such as the sweet spots for troubles? Most helpful.

Should be fine (by now). Most of the common issues worked out. Take a 15 minute or longer test drive. 1) listen for the compressor running 4min or more - indicative of weak compressor. 2) Listen for clunks in the front - worn a arms. 3) Listen for any clunks in the rear - worn sway bar or could be much much worse. If the price is right and you can afford repairing 1,2, or 3 then buy it on the spot. The depreciation has covered most of the big ticket things. these are really still worth the $60K they went for new!

Also listen for "groaning" noise or "clanking" noises which could be differentials.
