OK Joey and y'all. The coin tray is removed. Here's how ....
It is secured by four "tags" ... two on the top, two on the bottom. These tags are not visible. Each tag is about 1/2 inch in from the left and right sides of the tray. To release them, you need two metal shims about the size of a credit card. (I used two well worn paint spatulas). Insert one above, the other below the tray, a bit more than an inch deep. With these shims in place, reach under to the back of the tray and pull it gently outward. Go fix yourself a stiff drink. The same proedure applies to removing the clock.

Sorry, got busy today...was going to say I used two credit cards (they are good for something) and removed mine.
