Ooops Bang there goes my roof bars

Yesterday we had a little mishap with a carpark and our roof bars.... Ooops Clunk they went !

When we looked the front bar had shifted and bent somewhat and now refuses to unlock. I am thinking about trying to move it back into position with a soft hammer however I am afraid that it will stil efuse to move and openup. Short of going to the dealer if my plan does not work ... not sure what to do ? So I wondered if anyone else had a problem like this in the past ?

big hammer fixes all

solved it ... a few hard hits from that hammer and all is ok

phew. glad you figured it out. i've had to lock my vehicle in access height for a couple garages.
