P38 tranny issue

I have a 2000 P38 with 103K miles. The car will start but as soon as I step on the gas it does not accelerate nor move backwards. I was able to shift the gears from park all the way down. Th dashboard lights indicate a "gear ratio" message. any help is highly appreciated.

Check to make sure your linkage is still attached, also check to make sure you have transmission fluid in the transmission.

Could be a dieing battery as well.

I had mine do this once, but I heard a clunk right before it happened. It was a broken flex plate in the trans. Didn't have the gear ratio message though.
