Ran out of Diesel

Hi Guys
I ran out of Diesel in my Range Rover Vouge TD6 2004.
After filling up I still cant start it,Do i need to prime the engine? and how?

you need to prime the injectors...im not sure about the procedure on a car, but for our diesel hyd jenny we have to crack a bleeder valve and run the pump till there's no air in the system
