really rough ride after installing new Toyo Open Country A/T 3 19"

I have genuinely been loving how these tires feel. My mileage has taken a hit - maybe 15% - but I don't regret it. After 2000 miles I'm also wondering whether I need a re-balance.

They are a bit more firm going over bumps and city streets at stock pressure, I'm currently experimenting running 40PSI on all four corners, but I think I'm going to try dipping into the high 30s and see if the mileage changes appreciably.

Forget about fuel mileage, these rigs use a lot. I let the tire wear pattern dictate my pressures and this is how I clued in that 43 psi is overinflated in the rear for light loads. I was getting the classic wear in the centre. Currently I run around 36 psi all 4 unless heavily loaded.

I bought a set of Cooper tires and they shook the truck so i went back and they took a lot of time re-balancing them so I was leery. They still shook so they replaced them with another set of Cooper's. They shook also. So changed brands, nice ride now. Tires can be out of round or not possible to balance.

The LR3/4 seems to very sensitive to tire imbalances. It must be related to the suspension design and geometry. I had a Volvo that was the same way. If the tires were not roadforce balanced then forgetaboutit.
