Hey all, I'm sorry to start a new thread on something I'm sure has been already covered, but my REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE light is now permanently on and my engine sounds like it is having a heart attack. It use to happen just once in a while, then became more frequent, now permanent. Gas cap is not an issue-tightened down good. Is this just another thing us LR3 owners have stomach?? Or is there a fix. Please advise. Thanks

Are you serious?
Why would this be anything a car owner has to stomach?

You have an error light, the engine sounds rough, call your dealer. That's a no brainer!

Did just that, and listen to this I took it in at 9 Am this morning and was fixed by
3 PM this afternoon. No complaints here. Just hope the software upgrade did the
trick. Thanks for the response toddjb122.

Error popped up again, this time just the message no engine light and engine sounds
normal, so some progress has been made. Good thing my dealer is only 10 miles away.

Once again I have numerous faults and have taken the truck in for service.
This time it lit up like a Xmas tree, "Lowered Suspension Height","Transmission
Fault limited gears available", "Suspension Fault". DSC and brake light on. This
will be upgrade #5. My question is, does this vehicle require less software
upgrades as time goes on?? Or do I have to continue fixing the same ones
over and over again?? Don't mean to seem pessimistic, just want to know if
I'm making progress or just ******* up a rope.

I think you're making progress.

I have not needed SW updates on my last two visits.

I'm hoping they get all the kinks worked out in the next year or so before I pass 50K and have to start paying... or arguing for LR coverage!

duckdive, do you have the HD package? What year/build date is your truck?

No HD, I have an 06 SE. Could not get a build date (truck is at dealer).
