so I hit the miles that the light says go to the stealer and get taken -
this is not the check engine light) - red, to the right (in the cluster)
I read it needs to have the emission system checked - not gonna happen - standard at 83500 (around there) - nothings wrong just a annoying light
How do I clear it? will OBD II work?

You can just reset that light without seeing a dealer. It involves shorting a sensor in the right front kick panel which will turn the light off for another 80,000 miles.

If you cant get the thing to reset, OR you get both blinkers coming on. Just pull the red box.

service engine light question

Can anybody kindly tell me if the procedure in the site below is applicable to an '02 Discovery II (76k miles)? I took a quick peek in that area but I didn't see the red emission maintenance reminder box. I did not want to unneccesarily upset all those wiring either until I get confirmation that the box is really there somewhere.

Thank you very much for any help!

That link is for the D1, I am pretty sure the D2 works differently.

What light do you have for the D2?
