Speedometer

I’m new to this site so hello everyone ,
I have a 1996 Landrover 110 TDI station wagon and recently the odometer has been running at about 2/3 of the mileage it should for a few weeks and just now the speedometer has stopped working !
Any one any clues ?

Could be a speedo cable. The shop will need to fix this.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) about a 5 - 10 minute job for anyone with basic skills.
