I am new to Range Rover and diagnostics. I have Mercedes, BMW and Audi Diagnostics.
I bought a used Hawkeye BA5070 which had P38 on it but with firmware V5.
The new firmware version is V7.
The documentation is very poor as to how to update the firmware from v5 to v7.
So this is what one needs, update cable BA5079 and 12 volt supply.
Then, one needs to contact their tech support to get the new activation code for
P38 v7 and download the v7 software from their website and install on a PC.
Now I bought a single unlock code and I am waiting on the activation code for
L322.
Atlantic British said they cannot help me even to tell me how to update the firmware or even
tell me where to look as this process is not documented well.
Update cable BA5079 also is not easily available here in the US and had to order from UK
and shipping cost was almost the same as the cost of the cable.
