Schafari, while I will agree with you that the headlamps in the LR3 have sharp-cutoffs and this is aided further by the active-leveling, I submit that most people just see the spectral distribution of the Xenon lamps as being "bright" or at least more intense.

Consequently this technology (HID) is being used on the 2 newest large commercial airplanes coming into service. Pretty cool...

My light levels are fine. I have an HSE with the adaptive headlight system. It's because I live out in the countryside where it's really dark at night and these lights are a little different than what's usually found on the usual Fords or Chevy's. It doesn't help that the average age around here is above norm.

They have saved my ass from a deer or two. Love 'em.
