Volume on Nav System - Help

I can't seem to lower the volume on the voice prompts for my nav system. While the voice is speaking I can lower the volume with the knob, but then when a new direction is being announced the volume is very loud again.

2011 LR4, very reliable, but this situation just cropped up. Any suggestions.

The menus on my 2013 are completely different, but for a 2010-11 I vaguely remember someone mentioning you need to press AND HOLD the tone button (the button with the music note icon) until the preset volume menu pops up, and permanently adjust the default volume for the various systems (nav, phone, etc.) there.

Thanks.... yes that is where the controls can be found. Not a very straight forward layout however. Love the truck and never gotten lost so who cares!!!!
