Weird gremlin

Well, something bizarre occurred . . . . . Took a short road trip, arrived at the destination, shut the LR3 off, removed the key . . . . . Ding, ding, ding, the dash said the key was still in the ignition. I was unable to lock the doors, I disconnected the battery hoping it would reset.

Well it didn't. Rather than panic we broke out the grill and ate. About 45 minutes went by, and what do you know . . . . Error went away. Hasn't shown up since.

Anyone else experience this?

seen sometimes its been the actual steering lock assembly contacts in the igniton
easy to replace
