Colorado camping on Memorial Day weekend.

Going to do some camping and trail exploring on Memorial Day weekend near Buena Vista. Some of the trails won't be open but we are going to check out the scenery and the lower parts either way. Some hiking included as well. Anybody interested in joining?

Have a friend from work bringing his wife and son, he owns a Jeep. Could always put more than one tent in a site or use a group site with enough people.

There are two place in CO, I'd love to settle down. BV is one and Montrose is the other.

We are going to go as far as we can make it up Tincup Pass. I dont think it will be completely open, but at least to St. Elmo and the surrounding area. Maybe Pomeroy Lakes.

I think that Buena Vista and the national forest there is probably one of the state's best kept secrets.

We camped up there last August at the campground nearest St. Elmo. Pretty nice for a campground, but I prefer primitive camping. All the main passes up there are worth checking out, especially if Tin Cup is closed. Don't forget about the hot springs on the way up!!

That was my first time up there, that's why we did the campground thing. There probably is some good primitive camping up there, but I have not explored enough to find out.
