I've thought about that, however: - I'm attempting to install a second seat, so one set is already taken, leaving me with one latch, so not good. - Even if I were only using a center mounted seat, they say do not do that for some reason? I think it covers the seatbelt for the center seat... -

Interesting; I actually have always used BOTH the latch and the seatbelt. I wondered from the beginning exactly what weight limit those little tabs could hold and even though I assumed it was high, I thought adding the seatbelt to the securing mechanism as a backup couldn't hurt. -

How? I tried installing the base to my newborn's basinette seat in the center two days ago and it move all over the place. The ratchet seat belt has like 0.25-0.5" ratchets, so it's very difficult to get it tight, even when pressing down on the base and trying to get one more ratchet to click... -

I don't know why LR doesn't put the LATCH system in the middle seat as well? Then at least you could put two car seats in and still have one of the outer seats able to fold for third row access. With current design, you use seatbelt alone or have to remove a car seat each time you need third... -

So, barring someone being able to reach the front seat controls, it seems as if the doors cannot be locked from inside in any other way? Ridiculous if true. -

Interpret as you will, but our other and my past car is/was an Infiniti and it has never had any issues. Reverse camera turns on instantly, stereo mutes when a call comes in, it finds my phone every time, the computerized stuff is on instantly. It doesn't exhibit the little gremlins that LR...
