    Check engine light on

Update: After driving the vehicle around 60ish miles, the Check engine light just went out. The car was running great the whole time, but the light was on... very disturbing. However i believe that if a fault is not seen after a certain number of miles the light goes out... I don't know the...

    Check engine light on

Good thoughts here.. I live in a rural area. Drive to dealership is about 150 miles.. so I will probably run it for a while with fuel cleaner and eventually try to get to the dealership if it doesn’t clear. Battery I believe is in good shape, but that was another good thought, and I will watch...

    Check engine light on

Hah! What’s that, put electrical tape over the light? Seriously, if I put fuel system cleaner in the gas and just drove it with the light on, any issues with doing that? Is that a smart/ accepted practice?

    Check engine light on

My understanding is that the gap tool is the best diagnostic tool available. I wonder how much better the LR dealers tool is. Gap says no fault but the Check Engine light is on. Frustrating. Any tips on how to clear it if it is just latched? Gap tool doesn’t clear it, but then again, it shows no...

    Check engine light on

Yes, the check engine light is actually on full-time. Not a lot of coolant spilled on any connectors if any.. After everything was put back together it actually ran OK for a while before the check engine light came on. So it actually did work for a little bit before the check engine light came...

    Check engine light on

Ok I did that. Didn’t clear it. Do you think it would help to disconnect the battery?

    Check engine light on

This may be a really dumb question, but How do you reset a Check Engine Light using the GAPIID Tool?

    Check engine light on

Good thought, but I believe everything is plugged back in..

    Check engine light on

I have cleaned the MAF Sensors. Cleared faults with the Gap tool. Re-ran current faults and that is what is shown in the picture. Do I need to do something in addition? Is there a special process to clear a check engine light?

    Check engine light on

Just finished a cooling system upgrade, and my car is running fantastic. However, new issue, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on. Strange because the car runs flawlessly, accelerates flawlessly, and has absolutely no issues that I can see. I have removed and cleaned the mass airflow sensors with mass...

2014 LR4 HSE LUX Thermostat issue

Project is complete. Was a long, difficult, and at times.. painful project, but it is complete and the car is running GREAT! Post debrief notes on the Thermostat. I did notice after getting the correct one that it is a bit physically different than the original one I had. Seems the angle of...

2014 LR4 HSE LUX Thermostat issue

Car disassembled again. Going for the correct thermostat. Too much work put into this so doing the job right. Just a FYI for the group: The 2014 LR4 uses a different thermostat than the 2015 and 2016. The 2015/ 2016 have an electronic sensor that’s used in the thermostat where the 2014 vehicles...

2014 LR4 HSE LUX Thermostat issue

Anyone have the LR Specs for the 2 units so I can do a technical analysis? LR117568 vs. LR035124

2014 LR4 HSE LUX Thermostat issue

Update- Just spoke to the Land Rover dealer. They confirmed it is the wrong thermostat. They say the correct thermostat should be a LR035124. They say not to use it (of course the dealer will take the politically correct route for limited liability..) Now the question is do I just go with it or...

2014 LR4 HSE LUX Thermostat issue

So to clarify. The one I installed was the one with the wire. Should I just cap and stow the wire and leave it in place? The “wrong” thermostat will work in the vehicle without any issues? Thank you for your reply!
