I’ve been dealing with this issue too. It’***** or miss when it occurs, but when it does I just put my gym bag close to the door handle and the doors locks without any issues. It’s annoying, but not at the top of the priority list. Really interested to know what you find out. Good luck... -

Inner CV joint separated during lower control arm replacement
With both front wheels off the ground, you should be able to rotate the wheel hub while pushing inward on the CV shaft. This should help the teeth on the shaft line up with the CV joint.
