great points here. i’ll just add that studded nokian hakkapaeliitta tires make your already capable rig into unstoppable beats in the snow. no all-season or all-terrain even come close.
@RoverTide their website says that the elbow doesn’t fit NA 5.0L motor and fits only the supercharged variants. it worked fine on yours without further modifications?
It is absolutely reasonable but you should get the confirmation beforehand. As far as deposit for parts, a lot of dealers charge restocking fees, and if you’re a new customer, it’s totally understandable that they’d ask you to prepay for parts.
apparently according to Escalade forum members, you shouldn’t have done any of those things and just changed oil and brake pads and would’ve been fine. clearly struck a nerve there. :-)
the two killers of these engines are coolant component failures and timing chains (to a lesser degree). not aware of other big instances where engines just blow up. i would absolutely take care of cooling system maintenance proactively.
