Airspring problems
If a "bonet" is the same as a hood, than yes it has been replaced. It also had a faulty connection at the compressor where the power feeds in. All has been fixed and it is running fine. Thanks for your suggestion though. -

Shouldn't the "idiot auto insurance roadside assistance guy" have to cover the costs of the repair? If he was contracted by your insurance company, he represents them. I'd get in touch with them and explain the situation. Maybe they will own up for hiring such an ass and pay for the damages. -

Like Joey said. If it's not sealed, it could be causing issues. I'd tighten the bolt and see what happens. If it's that easy, than great. I found out mine was bad at about 75 mph on a highway. Out of nowhere the engine bogged down, it got really loud and almost seemed like it shifted into... -

I've had that happen to me before. It turned out to be cracked headers. They cracked where they split from 4 to one pipe. I had to look pretty hard, because they were small cracks. I'm not saying it's your problem, but at least it's another idea. -

I think they do it that way so you just bring it to the dealer and pay an insane fee. Common sense would be to put in a dipstick, but that doesn't bring the dealerships money. If you want to do it yourself, you'll have to get a little dirty. Sorry it's so indirect. -

To check the trans fluid, you will probably have to get under the vehicle. If you don't have a dip stick, there should be a bolt on the upper part of your tranny. You unscrew the nut and, a: try to feel for oil, or b: just pump some more fluid into it until it leaks out. Then put the bolt... -

A sign of a bad alternator is usually diming of the headlights and interior lights. I'd replace the alternator. If you keep driving it with a bad alternator your car will primarily run off of the battery and inevitably **** it. I would try to drive something else until you get the alternator... -

All fixed. I replaced a 30A fuse under the hood. Then put the LR on a lift and checked power connections to the air compressor unit. The power connection that powers on the compressor was loose, so I reclamped it on securely. After that I lowered the LR and turned on the ignition. The... -

I've tried to reply 5 times. It keeps messing up. Anyways... I tried the soap and water thing. I have no leaks on the air lines, or bags. I did however notice that now my compressor is not working. Is there a fuse that could short it out, or some other way of checking to make sure it is... -

I tried the soap and water. No leaks in the lines. O.K. Now the compressor doesn't turn on... I turned over the engine and shut the doors. Then unscrewed one of the air lines....and....nothing. No hissing of any kind. Is there a way to reset it, or check to make sure it is broken... -

Airspring problems
I have a 2000 LR Disco II. I put in new airsprings yesterday and they are worse than the old set. One side is completely defalated. The compressor works and there are no air leaks in the new airsprings. What could be my issue? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
