Transmission faults -- So it begins...

I'll run her through the paces this weekend. I will say that I have lost alot of confidence in my LR3. I wouldn't have minded so much if I didn't get left stranded in the middle of the road. But to lose all driveability is unaccepatable by any stretch of the imagination. I was even complimented...

Transmission faults -- So it begins...

Problem never cleared. More faults popped up over a couple of days. I got it back from LR yesterday. After a day of troubleshooting they told me the same thing I had told them when it was dropped off. "It's like your transfer case is stuck between Hi and Lo." They ordered the Transfer case...

Transmission faults -- So it begins...

Just tried to start it again and no progress. Still all the same errors. I've pressure washed all my vehicles, including this one before and have never had an issue. I'm not running high-pressure, not much stronger than a garden hose. I'll check around the battery tomorrow when I attempt to...

Transmission faults -- So it begins...

Did my first oil change since my warranty expired yesterday. Pretty simple, a little messy when I pulled the plug bolt and underestimated the force of the oil flow. Finished up, wiped everything down and took a power washer and sprayed down the engine bay to clean up some dirt/grime. That's...

    06 LR3 Lists To Starboard

Are you sure the ground it is parked on is perfectly level? Even with the engine off and the doors locked the LR3 will auto-level itself intermittently.

New 18" tire on the market

The questions is: How accurate was your speedo to begin with? If it was slow by a couple mph, with bigger tires your speedo may be correct now.

New 18" tire on the market

Wrong, smaller tire = increased speedo. Smaller tires take more revolutions to cover the same length of road.

    "DISCOVERY 3" letter decal set?

That would be great. And if all else fails I can try to carefully remove the "3" of LR3 and reuse it. I appreciate the help. So the "DISCOVERY" part # DAH500020LPO is the same type, font, size as the OEM "LR3"?

    "DISCOVERY 3" letter decal set?

I'd like to remove the LR3 badge and replace it with it's proper name. Is there any source in the US for the "DISCOVERY 3" letter set to replace the LR3 decals? Would my parts guy be able to order this, is there an online source, or do I have to find a british retailer willing to ship? Thanks.

Picked up an '06 LR3 SE dealer loaner

Couple pics of Sequoia NP from this past weekend I thought I'd share. Put on 3k in the last 3 weeks tooling around.

Picked up an '06 LR3 SE dealer loaner

Names Doug. We may stop by when you all are at Pismo next month. I'll have to see how the rest of this month goes. I don't have a compressor yet so I stayed close to the strip.

Picked up an '06 LR3 SE dealer loaner

Yeah, I was just up at Pismo 2 wks ago and am going up again next Weds. We've only owned the LR3 for 2 weeks and have put over 2k miles on it. I've already been researching the next tire purchase. Maybe by time I'm ready for a set they'll have the MTRs here in the US and in...

    E85 / Flex Fuel

E85 will eat your seals and rubber fuel lines. Also you will have ~20% reduction in fuel economy for a ~15% reduction in pricer per gallon. The processsing efficiency of creating ethanol is terrible. It takes more dino fuel to process ethanol than it creates. Gov. subsidies (read your tax...
