Assume but verify... you tried to shift the transfer case while the transmission was in nurtual? I sometimes need the truck moving too (but not always).

I’ll bet your consol radio level was lowered. That’s the two buttons consol button left side of the speedometer. They look like descending and assending images for the suspension, but that’s the radio volume. Common problem because it’s an odd feature.
I had my tach go dead a few months back, although the Engine still ran. My alternator wire (the small one) was not making contact. Replaced the end connector and not had a problem since. Not sure if that could lead to a no-fire, but it’s a quick check/repair and could resolve your dead tachometer.
I think only the dealer can reset the SRS. Mine 1996 D1 turned on a few months ago. I think I fixed the reason it turned on (blown fuse after being rear ended) and now I’ve tried everything but a dealer to reset the computer.
