This is wishful thinking (the politest way I can put it). There is nothing to overheat. The suspension is air springs, solenoid valves, and an air compressor. There's no way on a paved road you are causing the air compressor to come on enough to over heat, or actuate the solenoids enough... -

Transmission swap
Tip for putting it back in. Get 2 long bolts same thread as the bellhousing/engine bolts. Cut the heads off, thread them in opposite sides of engine, and use to guide the trans back on. Double check where you are placing them, that you have room for them to protrude toward the trans side... -

Jacking with air suspension
That's sort of counter to how you end up with the full size spare. You get the full size spare when you have the HD package, which also includes the 2 speed transfer case and rear locker. So if their argument was ground clearance it makes no sense. -

Tool to push axle shafts in
Hi, Thanks. Yes ended up using a 3 jaw puller. Had to crank it down as tight as I could then hammer on it. Shaft was really seized to the hub. Other side basically fell out. New bearings, backing plates, upper/lower arms, track rod, brakes... -

Good job! you may still get codes (check engine light) but the engine will run fine. They do make a kit to 'trick' the engine computer so you wont get codes but try with what you have and see how it goes.
