Removing Floor Console in 2015 LR2 - HEELLLPPP
I think if you remove the rear panel(where the audio jacks would be), you should be able to access the underside of your plug, but if not, powerfuluk made a video showing how to remove the whole thing. -

Fading Side Air Vents
Removing/replacing them is pretty simple. They sell them at powerfuluk.com or roverparts.com or buy some paint and do it yourself.
