Depends on which dealership you go to, you could spent about 800 for the fob and the cut key!!!!! It's just stupid. I have had a car for a few months and it has paid for itself already.
Since I got the car and IIDTool, I have already programmed two keyfobs and a new battery. I also can change...
I got two for 30 bucks and I was able to program them both with IIDTool.
Land Rover San Diego wanted $529.72+Tax for one fob and another ~$150.00 (i think) for programming it! Ridiculous! I don’t think Mercedes even charges that much.
Make sure these are compatible with 2013 LR4. Mine is 2014...
The only concern I have for you is that you might need to have a working key on you. I think I saw a message about that during the steps to add the key. If your existing key doesn't work at all, you might have an issue :-( If I had to guess, they use the old key presence to authenticate and...
So in my 2014 LR4, I went to the BCM-Body control to add a key and this is the message I got: "This version of Key Module May Need to be Unlocked. Contact GAP". I had to start a conversation and follow some steps to program the KVM module in the ECU. GAP will walk you through the steps via...
I just got my LR4 and trying to sort out anything that could leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere. The rig looks and feel brand new. It’s a one owner and it was taken care of. I think all highway mileage. I wonder if I should change the struts. What do you think? I was surprise to see your...
When I read the instruction, I assumed that they’re not providing the cable anymore and the instruction is not updated. I should have paid more attention to the unboxing.
So! Don't make my mistake. The tool comes with a cable. Use their cable. Don't use a third party cable. To be honest, in the nice black packaging, I did not even see it (see the pictures below).
haha You should be fine. I checked and they program the devices through the USB port in production. So every device is somewhat tested for USB communication before shipping! :-)
Good news.
I got some new Micro USB cables in the mail and on the first try, it worked just fine. I'm not an Andriod user so I don't use Micro USB cables on a regular basis. I only have cables which came with different accessories like my headphones, mice, keyboards, etc.
If I had to guess...
Agreed. GAP is telling me that they have shipping +10K to customers and they hardly see any issue but that's a general statement and I don't have any data in hand! I might be the lucky one with two faulty devices. Also, in the manufacturing of semiconductor, we don't consider our testing good if...
At this point, I take any suggestion. Thank you! In Mac under privacy -> Accessibility, it's not coming up. Also, I don't see it poping up under Security & Privacy -> General -> Allow apps downloaded
I hope that you have a better experience. Let me know how it goes for you! You might be...
