Fluids change after 9 years?
I'll add to the budget. I get the wisdom of the fluids and lubes, but can't see doing 'spark plugs' until there seems to be an issue? Save those $'s in case one of the coolant pipes starts spewing before 40K? (SMH..LOL). -

"Advisable?" Yes! I have 2016 with 23k miles. I checked the JLR maintenance schedule some time ago for important items that supposedly 'timeout' regardless of mileage. Ten years is certainly a milestone. My thinking is just do it...relatively cheap insurance with these machines: - Change brake... -

I did get a coolant warning while driving a bunch in the desert last summer. Amber triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle along with a message - "coolant level low" or "check coolant level"...don't recall exactly, but sure enough, it was...(there is a sensor). -

Agreed! the electronic gauge/oil level is useless as a 'warning' system. It's only usefulness is to check the oil level and 'top up the oil' which the manual says should be done weekly (I sure haven't been doing that, but will start). Help to buy LR3 or RR Sport
I have owned both, a 2013 RRS HSE Lux 5.0 NA V8, and a 2006 LR3...but it was a loaded HSE 4.4 300 hp V8. Both great vehicles, but the LR3 was a bit underpowered. I imagine that the old 4.0 L V6 with 216 hp would be even more so. And unless that LR3 is really optioned-up (not sure what all was... -

Highest mileage LR4?

2005 LR4 Key newbie
What "the GUY" is likely concerned about is that your 2005 (LR3's I think?) anti-theft system includes an 'immobilizer' that may activate if the system senses that the FOB is not legit or may have been tampered with...(ie: the chip gets damaged). That said, I have never heard of that happening... -

Lr4 oil level meter capacity
2016 SCV6 is 16K miles (26k km.), or 1 year, and assumes using the LR designer 'extended performance' oil, or something similar like Castrol Edge 'extended'...likely the same stuff and claims good for 20k . SMH, asking for trouble. -

OOF! At 25:28 Matt crawled WAY under that thing while it was perched! Maybe it was just the challenge, but the risk/reward on this could be questionable.
