It is coming on for about 10-15 secs then it stops. Replaced with a exact match hitachi. Need to learn how to check the calibrations and the measurements. I bet that's what it is. -

At start up was yellow indicator then once I tried to accelerate it changed to red with the do not drive over 30 mph warning. -

Ok, so I replaced the compressor and that corrected the issue I was having. it worked great for a couple of weeks. Then,,, the red suspension fault light comes on. Dropped to the bump stops. Not driving anymore for now. Ideas, why the red fault light? Does it define where to look for the issue... -

Easycool, the compressor should actually be on the frame rail just under the rear driver side door. At least it is on my 2006 LR3 SE. If both the front and back are on the stops then the relay or the compressor is bad. Usually it's the compressor. Here's a great youtube video, in the proper... -

Update- compressor went out completely. Houm_WA jinxed me, LOL> JK, where do I order one from? I checked on amazon and they run about $250. Is that about right and what should I look for? thanks again for the encouragement. -

My 2006 LR3 has 130,000 miles so far. Only major issue was the crankshaft pulley I replaced after much encouragement from this group. Still runs great, my gas sensors are dead as well but I use mileage numbers to keep from running out of fuel. Suspension has a fault and wont raise or drop but I... -

Mine just did that as well. I added coolant and it cured it. Hope your's is that simple a fix. -

Windshield Cowling Installation
Yes, Houm_WA, Texas weather is to the extreme in both hot and cold weather. Sometimes the same day! And yes, my landy is outdoors all the time. The one I replaced is the original, 2006, one so it lasted quite a while. I do like catman's suggestion to run a bead of silicone as well. -

Crank shaft pulley in 2 pieces!
Yes, that's correct, it's the crankshaft pulley not the crankshaft itself. Since this a V-6 you can use standard gear puller tools. If it were the V-8 then it's a whole different situation. That one requires a specific LR tool. So glad I have the 6 cylinder, 4.0 engine. It's an SE model.
