OBDII That works for Land Rover and BMW/MINI

I'm a sucker for autos that are notorious for the need of assisted repair. I was curious if anyone knows of an OBDII system that works well for both LR4 and MINI Cooper/BMW. Thanks in advance

The keyb fob thing is a fantastic detail I have never thought about. Great suggestion.

UPDATE: My battery had bad cells or something. JLR said it was failing and replaced it under warranty (the batteries warranty).

I didn't replace the battery recently JLR did it under warranty about a year and a half ago. I'll do a drive by at the JLR shop to see if they will look at it. I've owned this truck since I purchased it new late 2015 (its a 2016 model). I've not seen this particular behavior before.

I understand seeing it after a bit of the car Its doing it now even if the door is open for 2 seconds. After I trickle charged to 97%. more than a day later. The battery is about 1 year old. Something is not ok.

Hi, Problem: I'm getting the "Low Battery Pleas start engine" warning. I'm getting it within seconds of just opening a door. It started while I was vacuuming out the car and had all 4 doors open for an hour or so. No lights were on, so I thought that was weird. What I have tried / done: -...

    Charging System Error

It looks like JLR did me dirty when they changed my windshield. The a pillars werent seated / clipped in properly and water was getting into the car because of this. I had no clue this was a point of entry for water vs the sunshade area (which was totally dry).

    Charging System Error

Everything at the battery end looks pristine. Where is the grounding strap for the LR4? You are talking engine grounding correct (not a specific alternator ground)?

    Charging System Error

Colorado! This weather is pretty normal, we always get a late snow that breaks all sorts of trees and stuff. I'll be up all night knocking snow off of trees. The alternator voltage is looking great. I think the battery is bad from what I am seeing. Its less than 6 months old so JLR is going to...

    Charging System Error

The Battery is reading 12.46V static The Battery is reading14.87 running. Which means the Battery is 1/2 discharged, and it appears the alternator is working fine. Maybe I got a crap battery from JLR?

    Charging System Error

I posted that I was having some strange cabin light blinking issues this morning, its now turned into a 'Charging System Error' fault and I have the red triangle and Battery Symbol. My batteries are both new and about 5 months old (changed by JLR). Its snowing like crazy so I'm not going to...

2016 LR4 Dome lights (front and rear) blinking constantly

My dome lights are blinking non-stop (controlled by the center button) toggleing the button is not helping. Both front and rear domes at the same time. I checked to see if there are any drainage issues (none). The center front button doesn't click when toggled (it never has). No matter which...
