    Lr4 towing rv 27ft, 7000lbs

I towed a 25ft / 6k lb Ibex 20BHS travel travel with my LR4 about 2k miles, and was never happy with it. I tried with and without a nice WD hitch w/ built-in sway control, a separate trailer-mounted electronic sway control, it never felt good. Even went to the scales multiple times to get the...

    2010 LR4 Off-road wheel and tire options

Thanks, I think the Alphas are the best-looking 18" I've seen. I run BFG TA KO2 in LT275/65R18 with about 1" lift on the air suspension from the Gap IID Tool. No spacers, but I did have to cut the frame horns to clear the tires, and trimmed the calipers ever so slightly to fit the 18" wheels...

    2010 LR4 Off-road wheel and tire options

I had a hard time finding decent 19" tire options. Going to either 18" or 20" opens up so many more possibilities, but 18" gives you more sidewall for off-roading. We ultimately went with AlphaEquipt 18" for 2 reasons: 1) I looked the look better than other brands you already mentioned. 2)...

    Moab Trail Recommendations

Chicken Corners was cool, and took about a half day including lunch. We had the only LR4 on the trail (it was mostly side-by-sides and dirt bikes). But the truck handled it w/o issue.

    Someone add a light here?

OP, did you end up going with the LR factory option? Wondering if VPLAV0066 requires the separate ECU (VPLAV0076) as well?

    Tires L322

You'll most likely get minor rubbing w/o any lift. I have 275/55r20 BFG (same diameter, but a little narrower as yours), and I had to trim some plastic out of the front lower wheel arch, and the rear near the fuel filler. Probably depends a bit on the wheel offset and the tread pattern.

    LR4 vacuum pump replacement info

Agree with the OP. I also had an oil leak around the vacuum pump, and multiple attempts to re-seal with a new OEM seal, new bolts, etc all failed. The only solution that worked was a new-style pump.

Going to MOAB. Suggestions on a family friendly trail?

We did Chicken Corners with our kids this spring. Our LR4 is largely stock, only has about 1” lift with the gap tool and running on BFG 32”. We did the entire trail which took about 4hrs. One kid loved it, the other (the less adventurous) not so much. It was our first trek, and brought some...
