95 Disco I ABS light
My daughter has a 95 RR that has a constant ABS warning light on. Two shops have tested the ABS brakes and say nothing wrong with the ABS and that it is a fault in the dash light . I know the light is a 'warning ' light but when the fault is the light itself what do you do from there?:)- Mike Perrin

Good point about age of the vehicle and what rover now recommends. But I never implied I didn't want to use WaterWetter rather I was trying to gather what others thought about it from their experiences. And I still wonder what you think from a dealership point of view when it is ok to deviate...- Mike Perrin

And Mike you bring up a good point,ie, we all do lots of things to our Rovers that Land Rover Ltd does not recommend. Modifications are pervasive in this community of car owners on the forums. I would add the "Water Wetter' product just to help keep the engine cooler. I agree that just 50/50 coolant mixture will be enough for freeze protection . I am for anything that will help the engine run just a little cooler especially with the triple digit temps we are having the last few...- Mike Perrin

Sometimes won't start
Could be a loose ignition wire somewhere or a little water in the gas? If it gets by the rough spot and runs wonderfully I wouldn't think a tune up would have a lot to do with it. 1997 LR LSE Overheating
I read in another thread here that one guy was testing his fan clutch by taking a plastic bottle and trying to stop the fan when the car is at operating temperature. I have seen some older threads recommending Dex Cool coolant for Land Rovers. I have also seen several mentions of using a product called 'Water Wetter' as a coolant additive. Well I can add a little here as I am in exactly this kid's position from the Father's point of view. And I own/have owned a few Jeeps.
