Using waxed dental floss avoids the scratching that fishing line can cause. Some recommend using a hair dryer to warm te adhesive before removing. You can use WD-40 to remove the left-over adhesive.- MikeWellsinVA

Other lyde mayuses Oh, Sil-Glyde is also recommended for door weatherstripping on cars, if your door seal is leaking a bit and letting in water or air causing a "whistle", using the Sil-Glyde may help get a better seal and reduce those issues.- MikeWellsinVA
