Change of battery - does the ECU definately need to be reset?
I have an LR$ and can confirm that there is no reset required. I have had the odd time when it wouldn't start and was told to disconnect the battery then reconnect as that resets the system. Mine is now 10 years old and have owned it 7 years with 105 K on the clock and it is the best vehicle I... -

LR4 Transmission oil change... mixed feelings.
Having read all the articals I can throw several spanners in the works. When I had the annual serive in march on my LR4 I was advised that next year (year 9) I will have to have transmission oil and filter changed at a cost of £600 plus VAT = £720. He also said that LR recommed this at year 9... -

Tranny and dif oil changes
ZF the gearbox manufacturer recommends auto gearbox fluid to be changed at 100,000 KM (60,000Miles) or earlier if used for towing. LR recommend fluid and filter to be changed at 9 yrs or 144,000 miles. I have a 2010 series 4 discovery with 92 K on the clock. -
