Gas pedal- loss of power?
I finally got my wife's LR3 back yesterday. Took em 4 days to get the front diff assembly. It runs smoothly now, no noise, no vibration. In regards to the gas pedal issue- it went away. Engine revs up now every step on the gas pedal. :-) -

Brand new is $2,700 per dealer. And they dont have anything in stock. Might take awhile to arrive. My indy is going to change my front and rear diff fluids and the transfer case fluids no additional charges. Im using Mobil 1 LS 75W90. -

Hey bud. Can you point me in the right direction? Looks like my front diff is toast. Need to get one. I called the dealer and they have a refurb one for $1,600 incl core charge $400. I give them my old one then they will credit my $400. Thanks! -

A few oil questions
I only use Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic 8 qts on my LR3 since 46k miles and change every 7,500. I also use a $7 Purolator L15317 filter or STP S5618 filter. Premium gas too. No problems since. I have 62k miles on it now. My BMW X5 4.4i sport - also Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic, takes 9 qts, change every... -

Low Oil
I meant 8 1/2 qts. the 3 qts loss was my estimate every time my tech and I drain the old oil. We always check for oil separator leaks, oil leaks, hose leaks, vanos seals leak, etc. Nada. and every BMW tech and owners that do their own DIY in our x-outpost forums always say ' thats normal oil... -

Low Oil
Sound normal to me. Compare to my BMW X5 4.4 engine- it takes 8 3/4 Mobile 1 synthetic 0W40 and I do my oil change every 7500 miles interval. I lose around 2 to 3 qts by that time. NO LEAKS on my X5 whatsoever. Indy, BMW owners and BMW tech says the same thing- "thats normal oil consumption"... -
