My 2c. I changed all the discs and pads over Christmas. I cleaned out the EPB but didn't change the shoes and didn't strip it. Just put the new discs on. About a month later the vehicle started to exhibit a random but very considerable vibration - sometimes at highway speeds, sometimes at 30...
I second the advice here. Meyle is a very reputable brand - no need to spluge on OEM. Just ensure you do NOT fit arms with poly bushes. They will be distinct and they're a huge problem. Just stick to OEM spec (i.e. not poly bushes). The point about tight tolerance mode is key.
Happy New Year, all.
I'd like to have the underside of my 2016 LR4 professionally corrosion profed, including cavity wax in the chassis, etc. I've had previous experinece in the UK and (almost) in the US and know just how many cowboy outfits there are. If anyone has any recommendations in the...
For sure there are timing chain issues with the 3L and 5L engines. The issues are different, but both can suffer from failure. If you want to keep a vehicle for a long time then it is worth getting the timing chain (tensioners etc) done when they become noisy. There are no engines (diesel or...
I'm also on 20s and have been looking at tyres to replace my Nitto Terra Graplers (which are a terrible tyre - hopeless in the wet on the highway (almost dangerous) and utterly hopeless in snow. In fairness I have not used them off road). I have done a lot of research and decided on Continental...
I have a 2016 SCV6 with around 65K miles. Runs perfectly well; no performance issues, but the CEL has come on. The only relevant code showing on the IID is P0089-64 (EC) fuel pressure regulator performance, etc,. When cleared it reappears within 30 mins or so of normal driving, but has also...
Those guys are very dodgy and are taking major risks to their personal safety. There's some seriously amatuerish winch work going on there.
Shame about the vehicle, and an interesting tyre mix for offroading!
The as-built front crossover pipe on the last built LR4 (somewhat of a generalization but based on the fact that mine was one of the last 2000 built) has been modified to a new design. However I suspect that information is of limited help as you’d need to strip a few items away to check, by...
^^^what jlglr4 says. They’re out there and downloadable off a number of forums via file share and similar.
I would add that if you’re expecting a Haynes-type manual (may not mean anything to US compadres) that walks you step by step through tasks, prepare to be disappointed. The manual makes a...
I followed txfromwi’s outstanding video and got about 80ml out and put 85ml in and use the remainder of the contents of the bottle I had to do a quick flush.
I have a 2016 LR4. The issued rims have TPMS and work fine. I have switched these off for the winter types, which are on an older set of LR3 rims, also with TPMS. The older rims TPMS are not being picked up by the vehicle, and thus it's showing a fault.
I wanted to ask if anyone here had any...
Having just done the front and rear crossover pipes, waterpump, thermostat etc, I'd appreciate a view from those who've done this. I completed the task with a vacuum coolant fill (took about 8 litres). Since then I've had to top up maybe a hundred ML on two occasions a week after the project...
