2005 LR3 Purchase
Our 2 2005 LR3 have never suffered from starter issues. one has 77k the other 105K. The most troubled LR3's from 05-07 where the V6 versions. Dave- safaridave

We have 2 LR3's SE's 2005's 4.4 V8's both have been very reliable. Main concerns rear diff bearings. Water leaks from Sunroofs or from warped cowl if leaks lots of error codes plus a non working key. Make sure EPB has been adjusted and working properly. I have never had to use the EPB to stop...- safaridave

Trying to figure out if blown head gasket
you need to do a compression test to see where the coolant is going. The 4.4 engines are not known for head gasket issues, but it can happen. Dave- safaridave

Anyone running Falken Wildpeak AT3W?
They look real good! Keep us posted on how they are. I am also thinking about the GY Wrangler Adventurer with kevlar 255 65 18 51psi @ 2409 they are SL, but so are the Falken at3w 265 65 18's. I also don't want a tire that I will need to change the suspension on the LR3 or any rubbing. Another...- safaridave

LR3/Discovery 3 Fuel Grade Requirement
In the US we had both choices Jag 4.4 V8 (is Ford made) or the Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 both petrol. (V6 cheaper version base model LR3) From 2005-2007. I have the Jag 4.4 V8 it was a personal choice. Dave.- safaridave

I read that when I got my LR3, but my experience with 87 made me decide to use 91-93. I can see how on the US LR3's with the Ford Ranger V6 engine 87 would work well. Dave- safaridave

I tried 87 on mine once and it did not perform as well, loss of power and it also used more petrol and I heard engine pinging. Went back to 91-93 better mpg, and performance. Dave- safaridave

Hi Omada, Good to hear, thats awesome! How are they on road and on sharp turns? Also what psi do you have the rear tires for on road, since the highest rate they can handle is 45psi.
