Installing Roof Rails
I had the same thing happen to me. Pliers and xacto knife to scrape plugs out. Then, tap the threads to clean out the hole. In The 2013 model I have, the plugs were basically glued into the hole. -

Battery Life
Thanks! Your memory is good. Straight forward install. I reused the negative side plastic plug on the stock battery for the negative side vent and just plugged in the plug/connector for the positive side vent. All other connections were spot on. I ended up going with a East Penn/Deka Gold 694RMF... -

Short Rails - Install - Fit/Rattling?
If you had to dig out the plastic plugs installed from the factory, you may not have got them all out completely. When I did mine, I was surprised how deep the bolts went down. I wouldn't torque beyond spec, you could strip the threads in the holes and cause more problems. -

How To remove LR3/LR4 Plastic Caps securing Roof ditch molding
Clever, thanks for the post. In my case, this method may have worked but my rig has seen 3 winters with road salt. The plastic part inserted into the holes had essentially been bonded with rust and grime, so I could not unscrew them. Ended up popping the cap part off, drilling into the hole... -

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels
I have a Saris bike rack that works fine in the hitch. I have a 265/65-18 tire up there deflated to 10 psi. Just ignore the warning light on the dash. -
