2003 Disco II engine replacement
Funny... I also have a 2003 Disco and am looking to replace the engine, though I’m located in Bend, Oregon. The mechanic at Matrix Integrated says coolant is getting into the engine, eventually building up and causing the overheating. They suggested rebuilding by lining the cylinders? Sounds...- SoCalHiker

Okay, I’ve done an oil change and am gathering all the bits for fixing up the things that need attention. Took it in to the local Rover mechanic and he called it a “unicorn” based on its excellent condition. One owner, and low miles for a 2003. They did recommend replacing the head gasket...- SoCalHiker

Secondary thermostat recommendations
