    Aftermarket Carplay/Android Auto

The phone connects to both devices via bluetooth. I don't know the specifics of an iPhone because I don't use one. For Android it is as easy as connecting 2 bluetooth devices. For the mount, you could try a vendor on Etsy, or anyone who has a 3d printer.

    Aftermarket Carplay/Android Auto

Looks like the Carpuride unit has the same slide type mount as mine, not the 4 screws. I remixed the original mount to fit this style mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6900458

    Aftermarket Carplay/Android Auto

I wired it into the "cigar lighter" fuse using an add-a-fuse. I hate the junk blue crimp connectors that come with them, so I use nice copper crimp connectors and heat shrink. The "Cigar Lighter" circuit comes on with your interior lights when you unlock the doors. The Android unit takes...

    Aftermarket Carplay/Android Auto

I liked this idea and bookmarked your post. I finally got around to installing mine. I got a similar 10.26" portable Android unit. I found a 3d print file for a dash mount, it needed slight modification for my specific unit: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6307708 Then I wanted to...

    Unexpected LR4 project

Fact! Don't feel bad for me, I'm not an average buyer. I buy lots of salvage or mechanically damaged vehicles. Despite what YouTubers will have you believe, when you play this game you don't always make thousands on a flip. Sometimes you miss a detail or some hidden damage and you lose...

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

It is not uncommon for businesses that don't want to take a job to provide a high quote (don't ask how I know). From their POV, either you choose not to do it or pay enough to make it worth their effort. With a quote for ~$8k in labor and ~$3k in unspecified parts + the cost of the engine, you...

    Third row seats

I was out working on the LR4 today so I took some pics. Below are the plastic trims in the cargo area w/ the seatbelts: Below are the latches for the seats. You'll need the whole carpeted piece for each side because the lap belt comes through a slot in them too.

    SCV6 Crankshaft Torque and Sequence

Just checked the workshop manual I have and it doesn't have a spec either, sorry. Maybe try a manual for a Jaguar AJ126?

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

Not a vehicle similar to the LR4, an LR4 of the same year with similar options, mileage, etc.

    Unexpected LR4 project

I figured I'd provide an update on this field repair for anyone who's interested. I've put about 3000 miles on it since the repair, including a couple six hour trips. Believe it or not, the oil level has stayed rock solid and there are no signs of leaks. Coolant system is tight, no leaks...

    Third row seats

It's not quite as straightforward as you may think, but still doable. You will also need some plastic trim that goes in between the 3rd row seats, and the R & L trim panels in the cargo area are different. The non-3rd row panels don't have a place for the seatbelt bolts. Not as important, but...

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

It would be worth more when it is done, yes. That wasn't the question though. I buy a lot of broken or salvage vehicles and was sharing one of the methods I use to price vehicles in worse-than-rough condition. I try to buy vehicles at a price that allows me to be into it for less than fair...

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

Figure out what black book value or NADA avg trade value is and subtract about $12k-$15k
