I would say take a hammer and tap the backside of the rotor. Not too hard at first and rotate the rotor as you tap it.

I just did this last night and the the trick I used, after first removing the cover and then pulling the sensor our, to remove the connector from the bracket was to use a 1.5 foot angled pry bar and a screwdriver of the same length. The pry bar has a 1 inch length flat tip that is at an angle...
So, I replaced the CPS and so far so good. NO stall-outs and have been able to restart after driving. Did a 2, 5 then 10 mile drive about and no problems.

Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to say I had my comp checked and it returned NO error codes. I thought, how could that be? I have the Three amigos that I never cleared.
I asked the guy if there was a chance the unit he used was broke and he said no.

Flat Tow
I flat tow a 2000 Land Rover DII behind my Motorhome.
When I tow the Rover, I have the Transfer Case in Neutral and the Gear Selector Lever in Park. The Key does indeed need to be in the first position.
I have had NO problems towing with this configuration.
