Please accept my condolences. I went from an LR4 LUX to a Lexus LX570, and never looked back. LR4 was very, very nice but monthly visits to a not so nice service department got to be a major nuisance. YMMV
I test drove and almost ordered an "S" that would've retailed around $85K. But after a month of thinking, decided against it: I just couldn't live with the aesthetics of the car (i.e. ugly)
I would have spent up to low $80's on a LR4 with a supercharged V8, IF Land Rover's reliability and dealership experience improved from subpar pathetic to above average, as I like a "box on wheels". Sadly, this is not happening.
That's way too funny, as I finally got rid of my LR4 and bought a "14 LX570, and couldn't be happier. Finally, I don't have to worry about buggy electronics, dashboard warning lights, faulty camera, plummeting resale value and regular visits with service department idiots.

Yes, LR4 was special. Definitely unique in the looks department, tighter handling(with 20" wheels it felt very german).
The LX is more under-the-radar in the appearance department, slightly slower and the steering is a bit more loose. Love the ML reference sound system, great sales/service...
