    Series 3 109 4 doors?

    any parts from a series 2A and series 3 will fit as it's all nuts and bolts but even the early counties will fit ya just need the door pillers and the rear sides and roof from a 109 , plus the door and then ya just put it together . have done many of these things. lol

    will be a nice looking rig when ya finish. helpfull hint, don't rush it,!! take your time and just make sure everything is correct. personly i would'nt put the series 3 wings on it, stick with the series 2 ones. if ya have trouble sourceing them i have plenty here but fright would be a killer...

    doorlock gday higgenscenter, i am not real familer with ranges, but, if you can get the passenger seat out you should be able to get to all the screws to remove door panel. are you sure it is unlocking? sometimes the locking rod will come out of the plastic holder and makes ya think that...

    Twin Choke Weber On 2 1/4 Petrol Engine

    gday george i have a 2 1/4 petrol in my series 2, i run a weber carby, and extractors, with a 2 1/2 inch exhaust, i have had no problems with haveing to retune the carby since i've put it on, and it runs like a startle'ed gazzell. i cruise on the hwy at 65 to 70 mph, and it sits on it all day...

    make sure that the valvles are opening and closeing, remove rocker cover to check and failing that the rings could be stuck in the pistons as to no compression. are ya sure that the fireing order is the right way around. should be 1,3,4,2 in a anti clockwise rotation. i have had these eng. sit...

    ignition timing mark for serious 3 lightweight

    timeing gday, i run my series 2 on mostly unleaded and have no problems in the last 3 years. timeing is set at tdc and i run a weber carby and extractors on it. runs like a scalded cat. hope that helps

    timeing check the rocker's as they do wear to the point that they leave indents in them. although the feeler gauge will be a snug fit, there will be excesive play in the rocker arm which will not give an acceret reading. there 10 tho. hot or cold

    Ser III Compression Ratio

    7.1 verses 8.1 gday, the easiest way to tell is look behind carby at the head and if there is a raised section between the centre head bolts on the head it's an 8.1, sometimes stamped, the 8 looks like 2 zeros on top of each other. if no raised area 7.1. hope that helps, cheers
