    Those temporary jacks... are really meant for those rare cases where you don't have a choice. The wheeled floor jack, with sufficient lift, is your friend.

    Like the others who know, frequent oil changes are well deserved. As opposed to listening to various opinions , an oil analysis is really your best option. I have only drained the oil via the plug once... interested in seeing what crud was in there. Cheers!

    2011 LR4 HSE oil question

    Granted mine is the 3.0 SCV6... but it certainly does not drink oil. There was a consumption of 1l/5000 km, until I had the PCV valve changed. Its all good now.

    Only as no one has said it out loud: DO NOT overfill the oil. After the change, I check the level by 1 open the hood 2 leave driver door open 3 go to oil level display 4 press the cruise control cancel button voila.

    I have 4 vehicles with the plastic pan. Never had an issue. I do have the fluid and filters changed on an aggressive schedule.

    Not meaning to hijack... but I'd say "good riddance" The flashing annoys me and I'm used to turning my head and leaning forwards to check those spots. Also, my mirrors are adjusted properly... no need to admire the sides of the vehicle when I'm driving.

    The Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus are in our sizes. Its my 3rd summer with these (though I have to say it will be the last summer) I replace them long before they are bald.

    Maybe…. Interestingly, the dealer(using the key and fob codes, which they were able to look up) were able to replace my fobs without any of this other work. Cheers.

    Quiescent draw on the battery is rated in mA. Thousants' of an Amp. Sitting overnight would have negligible affect on a good battery. I have too many vehicles. And at times they sit for months. I have no issues as when the battery is done, its replaced.

    Correct... but it is not necessary. As identified in the workshop manual, the system is self adapting. It takes a couple of days and runs.

    +1 on scrub angles. -1 on any rubbing. And sanding down the calipers… I have no words. So, 19s with slightly oversized rubber does me just fine.
