Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Try it. When the tire wears out after 20k miles and handles like doodoo the whole time, let us know.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

You need to check max pressures. Load index is based on MAX inflated pressure. A SL rated tire may only be rated for 30 psi, whereas XL is rated for 45. XL tires behave like floatation tires in that load rating increases with pressure. So you can safely ride on lower pressures for less load...

    Compomotive wheels bent?

There is zero way anyone can bend those wheels. They’re tough as nails, and cast. They’d break. You have a bad alignment, and are running +2, so it’s possible you are simply out of enough adjustment. These trucks always wear the outside edge, even stock.

    Tire sizes

The door card is for load. NAS spec trucks only have the single PSI spec, ROW has two.. one for empty and one loaded. You can run the same front PSI spec F/R unloaded.

    Bluetooth music streaming

Interesting… the low level is the reason I abandoned that aux port. I’d love to go back to it. Got a link to that board you wired in?

'13 will lose power and die after a quick stop

Yeaup, I blew fuel out of my charcoal canister a couple times trying to figure this out.

'13 will lose power and die after a quick stop

This happened to me. I chased it FOREVER but a new purge valve assembly fixed it

    Longevity and Investment

20mm spacers or new wheels with an additional 20mm of offset changes the effective offset (and therefore scrub radius) the exact same amount. Most of the 18s poke a little bit more over stock.

No fluid coming out when bleeding rear brakes

You probably need to bleed the ABS pump. You need a diagnostic tool for that.

Thoughts on switching from 5w20 to 5w40 as miles approach 200K?

It’s totally fine. And it’s a better (the additive pack) and thicker oil with better timing chain protection. I’m running Castrol euro 0w40. It meets Porsche A40 and Mb 229.5, two tough specs. It’s ACEA a3/b4, which is a full SAPS standard made for high performance motors. Any xw20 oil is made...

Thoughts on switching from 5w20 to 5w40 as miles approach 200K?

I’m running 0w40 and have been for the last two changes. Just about 100k.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Looks like I’m all set after the calibration.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Shame on me, I pulled the compressor fuse but not the sensor fuse. Left it all day, no sag. I’ll run another calibration tomorrow.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Alright. Tightened the fittings, started losing air from all four corners. Replaced the front valve block with a new one, new VOSS fittings. Still losing air. Tested by pulling EAS fuse and letting the truck sit overnight in off-road mode.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Alright, calibrated. It was pretty close, or my measuring was off. Either way, we’ll see. Front end lifted on startup and the truck was only parked 4 hours. I thought about it more, and it still lost air with the EAS fuse pulled. So I’m guess it isn’t calibration and it is a leak.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Interesting. I tightened up the fittings at the block and now the rear sags a bit too. I’ll do a calibration tonight. I ordered a new valve block too just in case.

    Prospeed product interest?

I ended up giving up on this as there wasn’t enough to make it worthwhile. Prospeed will ship to US if you ask. I ended up with an air compressor guard from APT via Rova Range in Australia as Prospeed was out of stock.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

I was surprised the kit didn’t come with these. Do we have a source on them? I have a universal o-ring kit I can check but a difference of a mm is a lot here.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

That’s the kid I bought and it’s both sides equally. That second video is great, but I did exactly that. I guess I’ll take it apart again and see.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Copy. I’m fairly certain I goofed the center valve on the block, it didn’t come apart or go back together in a way that seemed correct.

2015 LR4 front end sagging overnight

Bumping this. Did anyone ever find out if there is a “sag spec”? I was dropping overnight in the front, replaced the front valve block o-rings, still losing about 1/4” overnight. Tested in off road height with the EAS fuse pulled. I can’t remember if it has always done this….

WTB LR4 compressor guard and front skid

Looking for anyone with either. Any compressor guard, I’ll probably be picky about the front end gaurd.
