    With the likely disappointment of a new defender, I am wondering how far I can take my 2015 LR4 w/ 60k miles on it. So far, no major issues, but I am interested in seeing how many high mileage rigs there are out there in good working condition. Plus polls are fun.

    Rear differential leak?

    It's a pinion seal on the rear diff. Known issue and covered under warranty but get it taken care of as soon as you can, you do not want too much fluid to escape or it will become a bigger problem.

    I've put the factory ladder on both LR4s I've owned and obsessed over minor fit issues like this. I just got it tight enough and called it from there. The picture looks like the spacing on mine.

    they are idiots. All LR4s can fit the fullsize spare. Just look on ebay. If I were you I'd buy the same type of rim you have now and mount the same tire you have and rotate it along with the other 4.

    I agree. I find that off road the paddle shifters are better than the knob. It just makes more sense to me to keep both hands on the steering wheel.

    Oh. Ok...I think I read it wrong as well. If you want the halos to stay on as your DRLs then you can do that via the gap tool.

    I have noticed over the years that the vehicle I keep in the garage gets more corrosion. I live on a1a in Florida so there is plenty of salt in the humid air... funny that this was brought up as I was just having this conversation with a neighbor.

    You'll be happy either way. HOWEVER --- BUYER BEWARE --- If you get a '14+ make sure you get it with the HD package as that is the only one available with the twin speed gear box. Plus the rear locking diff is a must in my opinion.

    Funny you say that, I noticed this and it bothered the heck out of me. I removed both air boxes and cleaned them thoroughly. I also took out the both mass air flow sensors and cleaned them with electrical contact cleaner. It no longer idles rough.
